To do that, we tackle the new RIFFTRAX version of the obscure NEW ZEALAND holiday film titled THE MONSTER'S CHRISTMAS (1981--not to be confused with the animated 1994 film of the same name)! It's chocked full of unintelligible mumbling and HORRIFYING monsters sure to give the hardiest of adults nightmares. If this is what Kiwis watch as kids, it's no wonder PETER JACKSON made BAD TASTE and MEET THE FEEBLES!

More on THE MONSTER’S CHRISTMAS (1981):

The Monster’s Christmas (1981) is a heartwarming family film from New Zealand that combines fantasy, holiday cheer, and definitely-toxic foam suits. Directed by Yvonne Mackay, the story centers on a little girl who embarks on an extraordinary quest to save Christmas with the help of a horrifying green lettuce monster. Together they seek an evil witch who likes calisthenics and has stolen all monsters’ voices because they sing carols better than she does (which isn’t all that hard).

Despite the witch having a tree-warthog-frog-man helping her, the little girl uses her magical death rod to free the monsters’ terrible, terrible voices in this insane film that not only boggles the mind, it bleeds the ears. Enjoy!
