More on DONALD FARMER:
Donald Farmer is an American independent filmmaker known for his work in the horror and exploitation genres. He has directed and written numerous low-budget films, often incorporating elements of horror, comedy, and sexploitation. Farmer began his career in the 1980s and has continued to make movies over the years.
Some of his notable works include "Cannibal Hookers" (1987), "Vampire Cop" (1990), "Scream Dream" (1989), "Savage Vengeance" (1993), and his first feature, "Demon Queen" (1987). These films often feature over-the-top storylines, B-movie aesthetics, and a cult following (and boobs—did we mention boobs?)
Donald Farmer's flicks are known for their independent spirit and their ability to entertain audiences on a limited budget. While his work may not have achieved mainstream recognition, it has gained a small but dedicated following among fans of exploitation and cult cinema (of which we consider ourselves to be!)
Top movies by DONALD FARMER:
While there are many definitions of “best,” here are some prime selections from Donald Farmer’s filmography to get you into the Farmer-verse (we just came up with that—you can’t have it!):
"Cannibal Hookers" (1987; Farmer also helmed a remake in 2019 featuring Jessa Flux!): This film tells the story of a group of prostitutes who turn into cannibals after being exposed to toxic waste. It has become a cult favorite among fans of low-budget horror and exploitation films.
"Vampire Cop" (1990): This horror-comedy follows a police officer who becomes a vampire after being bitten by a drugged-out prostitute. He must then use his newfound powers to fight crime and save the city.
"Red Lips" (1995; there are sequels, too!): This film follows a vampire stripper who embarks on a revenge-fueled killing spree. It combines elements of horror, comedy, and eroticism, which are common in Farmer's films.
"Demon Queen" (1987; watch for a future remake!): In this horror film, a group of friends accidentally unleash an ancient demon when they play a cursed board game. The demon possesses their bodies and wreaks havoc.
"An Erotic Vampire in Paris" (2002; with Misty Mundae!): This erotic horror film follows a vampire who becomes infatuated with a mortal woman in Paris. The film combines sensual and atmospheric elements with horror and vampire mythology.
